D-A-D band name meaning

Danish cow punkers and melodic rockers coming from Copenhagen.

With their band name they do not so much want to express that they have a grip on two guitar chords as they seek to avoid a quarrel with the almighty Walt Disney Company. The problem was that at its conception D-A-D was called Disneyland After Dark.

Before the current band name was adopted, Disneyland After Dark was successively called D.A.D., D•A•D and D:A:D – and we are not going to make a song and dance about this here now, period.
