Monster Magnet band name meaning

Stoner rock is the style which the New Jersey based band Monster Magnet is attracted to more than anything. 

The band name was actually invented by toy company Wham-O, which apart from the Monster Magnet (a kind of U-shaped handle with powerful magnets at both ends) marketed lots of other - often successful - toys. Like the Hula Hoop, the Frisbee, the Super Ball, the Silly String, the Hacky Sack and the Boogie Board - incidentally all excellent band names.
