A Certain Ratio band name meaning

(1977-now, GB) – Post punk band from Manchester, occasionally positioned as ‘post punk funk band’.

The name supposedly refers to one of Adolf Hitler’s numerous dubious guidelines: everyone with a certain ratio of Jewish blood was to be considered Jewish.

A Certain Ratio actually did not record the statement from the German dictator’s mouth, but instead relied on the text of a Brian Eno song, from the album Taking Tiger Mountain By Strategy:
