(1966-1971; 1974-1985; 1987-present, US) – The heyday of In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida (it means In The Garden Of Eden) is nearly half a century ago now, but Iron Butterfly still is a band that carries much weight.
If only because of their name: the rockers from San Diego, California, when setting a musical course, were looking for a name that was both weighty and happy-go-lucky, and came up with a contradiction in terms. See also Led Zeppelin.
