Babe Ruth (George Herman Ruth, Jr. in fact) after all was one of the greatest baseball players the Americans have ever had.
Ruth, cuddled by ballpark visitors from 1914 to 1935, had several pet names: he was called The Bambino and also The Sultan of Swat.
